The Leeds Agile HR Meetup is back for 2019 with our wonderful hosts Sky Betting and Gaming are inviting us in from the cold on the evening of 24th Jan. Our theme explores the new operating model and team structure beginning to emerge across Human Resources (HR) and People Operations teams that are embracing an Agile mindset and ways of working. The Agile HR Meetup is a global learning network for HR, Learning and Development (L&D), Agile and, People and Culture professionals, on a mission to innovate HR and transform the profession for the future of work. Evolving the Agile HR Operating Model

As HR and People Operations teams begin to embrace Agile ways of working their structure and operating model are changing dramatically. However, there is no one-size-fits-all blueprint and how you’ll form teams, run Agile sprints, manage your backlog and prioritise your HR strategy will greatly differ given your organisational context.

Agile HR Strategy at Beyond

On the night, Kate Rand, People & Operations Director at Beyond, will share how her team is reinventing the HR operating model with Agile mindset and techniques. By co-creating an HR strategy with her leaders and people, Kate is able to prioritise work and how the team collaborates directly through data and feedback. The team work across multiple locations, get things done through dual sprints and pull work from a unified backlog. The possibilities Beyond are opening up for how a People Team can be structured is truly ground breaking and an inspiration for all Agile HR professionals.

People Operations Manager v HR Business Partner

At Sky Betting and Gaming the role of HRBP has been transformed into a People Operations Manager. Yet, what does this really mean and is it different to how an HRBP operated in the past? Members of the SkyBG team, including Amanda Bellwood, Greg McCaw and Jo Edwards, will share insights on how they work and what their day job looks like from the inside. You’ll learn how a People Operations Manager co-creates a portfolio work with their people and leadership teams, as well the different tools they use to manage workflow.

Agile HR in a Nutshell Launch

Excitingly, Natal Dank, Agile HR pioneer and co-founder of the Agile HR Community, will also be launching the new free Agile HR in a Nutshell infographic, recently designed in collaboration with the great Mia Kolmodin, from Dandy People, who crafts the fabulous Agile in a Nutshell series, and Riina Helström, fellow co-founder of the Agile HR Community. The Agile HR in a Nutshell infographic poster will be a great free resource for all Agile HR enthusiasts, from active practitioners to budding learners.
